Pete Martinez is a name people hear around the Kansas City metro area. Martinez and his team stand determined to assist clients in making the best fiscal decisions by rolling up their sleeves and working to support each person in selecting the right plan for their specific financial goals. Insight Financial Services, the company Martinez founded, believes that its team approach, and therefore its team of advisers, are a valuable and necessary part of the unique partnership they form with each client.

A long-time financial industry executive, Pete constructs investment strategies that focus on the client and place their aspirations beside the realities of their assets and expenses. Pete’s goal is to create an atmosphere within the company where each client would receive one-on-one planning specific to their financial goals. Insight Financial Services continues to prosper in the development of new clients, new advisers, and increasing its dedicated client-centric support staff. Executives, professionals, and pre- and post-retirees seek out the strategies and one-on-one consultations for which the firm is recognized.

Prior to launching IFS on April 10th, 2006, Pete was the regional Investment Specialist for a national insurance company with offices in Overland Park, Kansas. While there, he was a Registered Representative, Financial Adviser, and Investment Adviser Representative of the organization's investment and securities division. As a manager and supervisor in the organization, he oversaw the success, productivity, and earnest commitment of insurance and investment professionals around the Midwest. This position required diligent monitoring of not only investment policies and client investment appropriateness, but also the grooming and mentoring of financial professionals within the organization.

Some of his responsibilities included, to name a few, compliance audits, investment company relationship management and selection, continuing education of the sales force, as well as product monitoring and high net-worth client investment case design. During this time, Pete’s personal client relationships continued to grow and his practice flourished by an unplanned word-of-mouth referral system that would eventually drive him to launch his own firm. Pete’s commitment to his clients and goals they set were the basis for what would become the framework for what he calls “The Transition ‘Into’ Retirement Process.” This process is meant to assist pre-retirees with financial planning, income strategies, and cash flow analysis so as to create a smooth and comfortable transition into retirement.

Pete’s Educational Background

In 2004, Pete resigned his commission and position as Captain in the Missouri Air National Guard, and Personnel Officer in the 139th Air Lift Wing in St. Joseph, Missouri to pursue his passion for working with people and helping them with their financial needs.
